Cut the tempeh into ½” rectangles.

Marinate the tempeh slices in ½ cup of Wildfare Barbeque Sauce for at least 15 minutes (or up to 4 hours) in the refrigerator. A sealable bag works great.

Remove the Tempeh and reserve the BBQ sauce for brushing during grilling.

Prepare your grill. Create a hot side (direct heat/coals) and a cool side (indirect heat/no coals). You will be grilling the tempeh on the hot side but may want a cool side to rest your tempeh while you brush on the BBQ sauce or as a zone for another grilled item.

Place a smaller grill grate on your grill (the tempeh needs a little more support). Spray the grate with nonstick spray, then place the tempeh in a single layer on the grate (you may need to use two grill grates or cook in batches). Grill the tempeh on the first side for 4 minutes, then flip it over, brush it with a little more of the marinade and grill for 3-4 minutes on the second side. It’s that quick!

Transfer the tempeh from the grill onto a plate. Before serving, brush it with any remaining marinade and sprinkle it with sea salt. Enjoy!
